“We donate to support the important work you do providing personal and economic growth opportunities for people in our community.”

Since 2016, RAD Springfield Community Bike Shop volunteers have impacted thousands of people, from fixing flat tires to giving away bikes to educating the community about bike safety. On Giving Tuesday and throughout December, YOUR GIFT WILL HELP RAD PREPARE FOR ITS NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH.
RAD SPRINGFIELD is ready to serve even more people but they need your help!
RAD is asking you for a special contribution this season. Your donation of any amount will help them with:
–> SHOP UGRADES, including specialized flooring and storage;
–> NEW TOOLS & BICYCLE PARTS to accommodate more volunteers and ensure bike safety for customers;
–> MORE SAFETY GEAR & EDUCATION, to bring resources to more schools and community events;
They especially need your support for RAD TEENS—a new pre-employment skills training program for young people that teaches bike repair, customer service and community engagement skills. Over 50 young people will participate in 2026!
“As the only bike shop in the downtown area, we serve neighborhood kids and families, people experiencing homelessness, refugees—people who rely on bikes for critical transportation to work and school. RAD is also a safe space where customers from all backgrounds network and connect with others. It’s not unusual for someone to come in for a repair, learn what to do, and then start volunteering and teaching others.” —Casey M., RAD Technician and Volunteer
