OPEN STUDIO HOURS
Our studios and materials are available for the public to use on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 2-6 pm, and on Saturdays, 10 am-12 pm. We believe art and creativity should be accessible to all. Our open studio hours are our “gift” to the community.
WORKSHOPS & CLASSES
Make-It is a place where individuals and organizations come together for skill-sharing and connecting with community. We offer workshops in many areas of arts and technology and we welcome instructors, collaborations with creative entrepreneurs, and small business owners who want to share their creative knowledge. RAD SPRINGFIELD
RAD Springfield brings bike repair education and open tool access to Springfield’s downtown, community members and neighborhoods. Open every Monday and Friday, 2-6 pm at Make-It Springfield, RAD invites volunteer technicians of all ages to help with bike repair, and the public can stop in to purchase, repair, drop off for repair or donate bikes.
YOUTH PROGRAMS
We are particularly interested in sharing opportunities for young people and welcoming teens during our open hours to work on their creative projects. Programs and workshops are offered in the bike shop, tech, sewing and fashion, music production and visual arts, for teens who want to craft their creative dreams into reality. READ MORE
GROUP PROGRAMS
Interested in bringing a group together for a creative experience? Do you want to expose your clientele to a creative resource in their community? We work with social service agencies, private groups, schools and more to develop private workshops for their clients, staff or friends. Costs vary depending on the activity but we are happy to discuss options. Please email info@makeitspringfield.org with your request.
SOCIAL CIRCLE FOR CREATIVE MEN 55+
If you are looking for a lively group to share your creative work with, learn from others, or for belonging and friendship, join our Social Circle for Creative Men, ages 55+. The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday mornings each month at 11:00 a.m. for coffee and comradery. Newcomers are welcome! Participants are musicians, photographers, writers, entrepreneurs, knitters, designers and more. All skill levels welcome, from hobbyists to professionals.
