SPRINGFIELD, MA, MAY 31, 2023 — Make-It Springfield and FAB have partnered to bring FAB Passion Fashion Week (FPFW) to downtown Springfield, MA in September 2023.

Launched in 2018, FPFW is a uniquely cross-cultural, annual fashion event that is dedicated to showing important fashion influencers and to elevating diversity in fashion and in New England’s Arts and Culture. FPFW’s creative excellence is led by a team of proven international fashion experts that includes FAB’s founder Richie Richardson from New York and Montague, and close collaborators involved in fashion weeks in Brooklyn NY and Montreal.

FPFW creates an exciting opportunity to rebrand Springfield as a major fashion destination and foster an entirely new fashion economy in Western Massachusetts, as well as new opportunities for relationships between fashion professionals at the local, regional, national and international level.

Make-It Springfield, an eclectic creative space in downtown Springfield, sees FPFW as an inspiring initiative that will contribute to capacity building, job creation and economic development in downtown Springfield by boosting its creative economy, supporting local businesses and local tourism, and engaging its diverse community. The design and manufacturing of wearables will result in new jobs and new small businesses, and FPFW will create new markets by attracting new audiences and professionals in the garment industry from the region and beyond.

Make-It Springfield and FAB need the support of patrons, sponsors and partners to make the special launch of FPFW 2023 in Springfield a big success that will keep growing in years to come.
