About the program

Interested in learning how 3D printers work and designing your own creations? Apply to join our 6-week 3D Design & Printing Lab! Teens will learn the basics of digital design and turn their ideas into real objects. During this hands-on program, participants will:

–> Learn how a 3D printer works

–> Explore 3D design using Tinkercad

–> Practice combining shapes to create new designs

–> Use design thinking to solve a real classroom problem

–> Learn how to troubleshoot and improve prints

–> Create and print their own project to take home.

No previous 3D design or printing experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

Application Process

1) Follow the APPLY NOW link to our Eventbrite listing. 2) On the Eventbrite listing, click on “Reserve A Spot” to begin the process. 2) In the next window, choose 1 ticket, add your name and email, and then click on “Register.” 3) The next window will ask you to complete the registration and application questions.

MAY 19th is the deadline to complete your registration and application questions. We will review applications and select 6 participants for this workshop. Applicants who are not selected will be notified and invited to future tech education opportunities.
