“If writing, or inventing, or painting or designing makes you feel whole, then let the good feelings flow.”
Recommitting to your creative life is something you may need to remember to do again and again and again. If you are a maker or you are someone who is trying to stay on your creative path, I wonder if you realize how important it is to recommit whenever you feel unsatisfied, or when you find yourself drifting away. There may be twists along the way, but being committed to your creativity is a source of power, and I am speaking for the team at Make-It Springfield when I say, we want that for you. We want to help you recommit as often as necessary and we want you to catch yourself when you lose focus. Be wary of that old excuse that there just is not enough time to lean into your creative life. Expand the time, because if when you are creative, entire hours and days disappear, then you are probably living the life you love. You are in love. So figure out how to have a better relationship with time, and don’t let it boss you around. Just think about it. If writing, or inventing, or painting or designing makes you feel whole, then let the good feelings flow. And maybe share with the rest of us. Especially now.
