This month I had the pleasure of sitting down with the Book Mogul, Patricia Sunshine who has written over 150 books. As an author, Sunshine has a fascinating creative process. She says, “I really can’t take much credit for the process itself because I was inspired to write. I usually don’t make any plans to write, I just wake up and there is something that is on my mind. I just start typing and before I know it, it’s three hours later and I have a complete book.”
Sunshine writes about topics such as self care, self improvement, how to heal and advance, and how to overcome the trauma of our past. She described to me that she doesn’t consider herself an expert in these topics but rather that she gets the information from a source other than herself. She calls it the Source which she summed up as, “the place where all wisdom, knowledge and understanding flows. If you can just imagine a vast, infinite amount of information that is just out there and available, I am able to look into it and gather whatever I can about each topic.”
I was incredibly intrigued by what she was describing and I asked her when this phenomenon of sourcing information began for her. She answered, “During the pandemic was when I first noticed I had access to this information. One day at maybe 3 in the morning, I just woke up and my phone was there, which is what I use to type. I started typing and I drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, I was still typing. That let me know that the faculties that humans need to access information are not the same faculties that we need when we are walking around. I think it’s a subconscious level that I am gathering this information from. I believe the messages that we already have within us could be from our ancestors. I usually refer to that as ancestral knowledge.”
When Sunshine writes, she literally cannot see the physical world, she goes inside of herself and receives the information that is coming through for the book. In fact, she told me, “I don’t know what’s in the book until I am done because I am in a dream state. I lose my natural sight when I am writing and I am able to see into the topic itself.”
She refers to the 150 books she has written as life chronicles and as tools. Each book gives insight and solutions to different types of problems that someone might have. Sunshine is passionate about motivating, encouraging and inspiring others to use their natural gifts, talents, skills and abilities to step into their purpose and to help others. She has found a way to use her work to do just that.
