About the instructor: Laura Geryk first learned the art of wycinanki as a child when an elderly relative came to the United States for the summer. Laura spoke no Polish, and Dziadziu spoke no English, but she was able to learn the craft through the communication of a love of art. As an older adult, Laura has revisited the tradition, and has shared her work in shows and galleries in New England. She’s eager to continue sharing this folk art tradition with others!
