This summer, 24 teens will gain hands-on experience building their very own computers — you can help empower them with the skills and confidence to explore a career in tech by donating the parts and tools needed to make this possible.

From July through October 2025, Make-It Springfield is hosting a Teen Computer Build Program where 24 Springfield youth will learn how to build their own personal computer from the ground up! This hands-on experience will spark long-term interest in technology, computer hardware and IT problem-solving and will be a unique skills training opportunity outside of school. Make-It Springfield will be collaborating with Springfield.Community, a group of talented technicians whose mission is dedicated to helping our community improve digital equity, communications and connections.
